Hello! I'm Daphne (if, somehow, you missed that) -- a self-described fledgeling filmmaker / astrology autodidact / writer of weird fiction. I made this blog in '23 after being absolutely exhausted by how miserable social media has become under the tyranny of blood heirs and rage-boosting algorithms, not to mention the increasingly confusing timelines and minimalist, personality-devoid aesthetics that all ultimately merge together. I'm pretty new to HTML, CSS, etc beyond making tiny adjustments on Tumblr, so this is an ever-evolving experiment as I clumsily navigate how to build a website.

On the homepage I described this as being a hybrid site, by which I mean it will be where I sincerely document and showcase my creative work and efforts, but I also want it to be a place where anyone (primarily, me) can kick back and distract themselves for a bit. So it's a little hodgepodge. Fortunately, I myself am a little hodgepodge, so it works out for me.
